Abstract

Based on power user electric energy data acquisition system, a state estimation method for the distribution network is presented in this paper. In the method, the node voltage and angle of the feeder are treated as condition variables. And the measured voltage, current, active and reactive power on load side from electric energy data acquire system are treated as measuring variables to supplement SCADA measurements and enhance the redundancy and accuracy of state estimation algorithm. Then by the Newton-based state estimation algorithm, all distribution network feeder operational conditions, node voltage and power are estimated. The result can help the operator get more information about the network and make more scientific decision. Finally the method is applied on IEEE13 and IEEE34 systems simulated by MATLAB, and the result indicates that the proposed approach is applicable and effective.
