Abstract

An on-line power equipment monitoring and diagnosis system (PEMDS), which is developed for monitoring multiple parameters of power apparatus, is introduced in this paper. The structure of the system and the principles of development are discussed. PEMDS is composed of a main framework, data processing method and monitoring sub-system such as partial discharge monitoring system and dielectric loss monitoring system. The main framework controls the sub-systems and data processing methods and responds to the user's request. PEMDS is designed based on the Distributed Component Object Model. A programmed data processing tool (PDPT) is introduced which could manage the procedure composed of a series of data processing methods dynamically.
