Abstract

Presently, distributed data integration is a hot issue of distributed computing. With the development of Web services, many researches begin to use Web services for data integration. In this paper, a distributed data integration framework based on Web services and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol is described. Using Web Services, the distributed and heterogeneous data resources are encapsulated into Web Services, through which the rock-bottom data resources can be accessed. In addition, a Web services description model is brought forward in order to present Web services’ capacity of data provision. Web services are all put into the distributed and dynamic resource directory. The directories are constructed based on LDAP. In this way, the integration framework comes into being. This framework realizes the sharing of distributed data, and provides efficient data service for users.
