Abstract

Nowadays, the traditional single computer design system has been challenged and there is an increasing demand of building complex scene modeling of 3D models. With the more and more field are involved in the process of 3D scene modeling the design of 3D scene require both domain experts and 3D scene modeler. In this paper, A Framework DMSCRF (Distributed 3D Model Semantic Characteristic Retrieve Framework ) based on three-layer ontology is proposed to help distributed 3D scene modeler to retrieve domain knowledge, which is build by domain experts, in the process of scene modeling. By analyzing the semantic constraints among the models in the specific 3D model scene, the proposed ontology with good scalability consists of three layers: the general ontology for the features of the model, the domain ontology for a model of specific scene and the scene ontology for semantic of an certain 3D model scene. As the scene ontology is distributed stored, the paper also design the procedure of retrieve and validate semantic constraints based three-layer ontology in a distributed environment. The result shows the framework has good scalability and supports collaborative work.
