Abstract
Abstract A fragmentary nerineoid gastropod collected from the Maasvlakte 2 beach may be identified as Ptygmatis cf. bruntrutana (Thurmann, 1832). Probably originating from Upper Jurassic strata in north-eastern France, it must have been transported here by a forerunner of the River Meuse (Maas).
