Abstract

Steady state behaviour of a discrete time, first come first in, limited space, queueing problem with S heterogeneous groups each having A parallel channels is considered. Probabilities of departure between the groups of channels are different but within the groups all the channels have equal probabilities of departure. Mean number of units in the system and explicit steady state probabilities for the number of units in the system are obtained. Some particular cases of interest are also derived at the end.
