The presence and illicit activities of the drug trafficking organizations in Africa further heightened the state of insecurity in the region The study recommends that government of states in Africa should enhance intelligence sharing networks about drug trafficking activities and also take necessary steps to improve security sector governance while also addressing the structural and economic weaknesses of their state through sustainable development programmes. This will help to curtail the capabilities and influence of foreign trafficking groups.
