Abstract
A range of functionalized aryl and heteroaryl disulfides has been prepared from zinc organometallics by using sulfur monochloride (S 2 Cl 2 ). The zinc reagents were obtained by transmetalation from magnesium or lithium reagents with ZnBr 2 .
