Abstract
ABSTRACT Photoelectric photometry of stars in M 67 and the Hyades when transformed to the UBV system implies an observational inconsistency of - O" O5 in (U- B) in published values for ffie two clusters. if one accepts this correction, the (U- B), (B- V) diagrams for the two clusters are nearly indistinguishable. An interpretation of the new color indices leads to negligible reddening for M 67 and a mild metal deficiency. Key words: clusters - ultraviolet excess - metal abundance - color excess
