Abstract

Abstract In this paper we show that observations support the existence of a logistic model relating fractal dimension to the scale of analysis for the distribution of galaxies. We report the evidence for a link between the large-scale structure and the cosmic string network of galaxy distribution. This connection is consistent with the theory of structure formation seeded by cosmic strings and could be a bridge between the E -infinity theory and the distribution of luminous matter in the Universe.
