Abstract

It is argued that due to spontaneous and anomalous scale symmetry breaking in technicolor there must be a pseudo-Goldstone boson of dilatations in the low energy spectrum of the theory. The technidilaton mass is estimated to be MD≃(7.5/Nr) TeV for a SU (N) TC gauge group with r technifermion doublets. Therefore the existence of a low mass (i.e., MD<1 TeV ) scalar boson will not rule out technicolor.
