Abstract

A digital delay-line-shaping method for neutron/γ-ray pulse shape discrimination in a stilbene detector is developed and applied to the neutron measurements on HL-2A tokamak. The performance of the digital method is validated by measurements on an Am–Be neutron source. The method performs well over a wide energy range, the energy threshold can be as low as 500keV for neutrons and 180keV for γ-rays. The digital stilbene neutron detector was also used for measurements on the accelerator neutron sources.
