Abstract

Constructional details are given of a collimator designed to couple a DC discharge lamp to a photoelectron spectrometer in which the sample is a liquid. Its application can be more general, however, since it can be used with any design of lamp over a wide range of sample pressures. It incorporates efficient differential pumping and an isolation valve.
