Abstract
Law and Kosloske reported in the September 1976 issue (Pediatrics 58:362, 1976) on the use of postural drainage in the management of tracheobronchial foreign bodies. Their results were not as good as those previously reported. They state that they placed the involved portion of the lung in a "dependent" position for postural drainage. It is hard to understand the theoretical background for this particular practice unless, for example, one is dealing with foreign bodies that are lighter than air.
