Abstract

The device containing a metallic roll (the length of its circumference: i000 mm) and the photoreceiver serves as a length gage (sensor). The metallic roll resting freely on the mineral wool carpet (mat) converts the forward motion of the carpet into rotary motion of the axis on which the photoreceiver is located. The photoreceiver is an oPtoelectronic (opticalelectronic) key consisting of a radiation source (an AL 107 IFK-diode) and a radiation receiver (a FD-3 photodiode). A special screen is used for obtaining periodic interruption (once after 1 mm movement of the mineral wool tile) of the radiation flux of the optoelectronic pair in the photoreceiver. The interruption of the radiation flux is transformed in the circuit of the pulse-shaper of the photo receiver into rectangular pulses which are subsequently fed to the measuring block MB.
