Abstract

A novel voltage-to-current (V-I) converter with high linearity and wide tuning range was designed. The V-I converter consist of differential amplifier, voltage attenuator, source follower, and adaptive current mirror. The simulation result shows that the V-I converter has tuning range from 0.2V to supply voltage of 3.0V. The nonlinearity error of the V-I converter was less than 0.5% for the same range. Power dissipation of the CMOS and BJT V-I converter has 1mW.
