Abstract

We designed an electron-driven positron source for the International Linear Collider (ILC). The parameters of the source were chosen to obtain the required positron yields for ILC considering the heat stress in the positron target and accelerator components. In this report, we showed the feasibility of the electron-driven positron source in terms of the heat stress of the accelerator components, the positron yield estimate for realistic conditions such as beam loading to the acceleration, as well as the status of the R&D of the target system.
