Abstract

In a number of applications, it is necessary a network which could provide well-defined impedance values at different frequencies, like in multistandard transceivers or in high efficient power amplifier design with harmonic manipulation. In this paper, we present a novel approach for concurrent multiband impedance matching network design using multiresonant circuits. These multiresonant circuits provide short and open circuit conditions at different frequencies, thus enabling and disabling capacitors and inductors to form the desired impedance matching network. To illustrate the proposed method, a concurrent dual-band impedance (2.4 GHz and 5.2 GHz) matching network is also presented.
