Abstract
SHIRLEY J. PUESCHEL (B.S., Loma Linda University, Loma Linda, California: M. S., University of California School of Nursing, Los Angeles) is a predoctoral student in the department of sociology in the University of California at Los Angeles. The study reported here was undertaken to fulfill requirements for a methodology course and to throw additional light on the position paper of the ANA in relation to present trends in nursing education. Prior to undertaking graduate work, Miss Pueschel has had experience in both nursing education and nursing service.
