Abstract

In order to establish clinical nursing priorities a three round Delphi survey was carried out on a sample of 214 nurses currently working in the Northern Region of England. Little change was evident between rounds 2 and 3 and the top 20 ranked research topics of a total of 102 are presented in relation to their value for nurses and value for patients. These expressed concerns of nurses are discussed together with the potential value of and justification for determining research priorities.
