Abstract
A person's name is a valuable information. Analysing people's name has been used in many areas including Business, Education and government. Name analysis is a part of text analysis, an area that has been investigated in a number of different languages. In this paper, we concentrate on the Chinese language. In particular, we address the low accuracy with the existing name matching method on processing Chinese names from Chinese phonemic names and the lack of fuzzy name identification from Chinese phonemic names to Chinese names in the current research. Since Chinese names have different types, the name matching method needs a new method for predicting Chinese names using Chinese phonemic names. This paper proposes a new algorithm for name identification from Chinese phonemic names to Chinese names. This algorithm enjoys high accuracy in identifying Chinese names by Chinese phonemic names.
