Abstract
In this paper we present a multi-model based decision support system (DSS). This DSS is fIrst used to analyse and evaluate the performance of manufacturing systems in a Business Process Reengineering (BPR) phase. When this BPR phase is achieved the DSS is used to control the re-organised manufacturing system. These different components are described and the operational architecture of the DSS is illustrated with a demonstrative example derived from a real industrial application. The modularity, the flexibility and the reusability of the DSS presented are then highlighted.
