Abstract

There is a direct correlation between the level of industrial development and the rate of economic growth in China, and it is important to grasp timely the objective data on the spatial distribution and operation of high-energy-consuming industrial plants for national economic growth and industrial structure reform. In this paper, based our study on the NPP-VIIRS active fire/hotpot data (NPP-VIIRS active thermal anomaly data) with high spatial and temporal resolution of 375m and overlaid with POI data and high-resolution remote sensing data, we used the vector data density segmentation algorithm to produce a dataset of in-operation industrial heat source objects in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region during 2012-2020. This dataset provides information, such as latitude and longitude of industrial heat sources data, category code, administrative region to which they belong, and the start and end years of operation. This dataset can provide data support for industrial reform results and future reform directions.
