Abstract

Homogeneous and isotropic (HI) turbulence isasimplified ideal form ofturbulence. It is computational efficient and is desirable for numerical simulations and studies of single and multi-phase flows. HI turbulence has been difficult to generate in experiments. The current dataset include ssets of gaseous stationary homogeneous and isotropic turbulence, which are generated in a facilityof ‘boxofturbulence’. The dataset can be used for direct comparisons with numerical simulations.
