Abstract

Ambient temperature is one of the most important factors influencing the accuracy of infrared temperature measurement when detecting temperatures near the ambient ones. Starting from the classical ambient temperature compensation method, a data processing method on the infrared temperature measurement of a non-lambert body in a non-uniform environment is proposed. Experiments were conducted to compare the temperature measurement accuracy of the classical method and the one proposed in this paper, in a non-uniform environment. Data processing of the experiments involves parameters fitting, object emissivity measurement, and measurement of each temperature source in the environment. The experiments demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed method, which can effectively solve the ambient interference problems when the non-lambert body (such as aluminum and steel) are present.
