A Data Mining model using ANN for predicting seasonal variance in residential Electricity consumption

Abstract

The role of electricity consumption is crucial in daily life, and by analyzing readily available data on electricity usage, we can uncover hidden patterns that aid in forecasting seasonal energy usage. This research paper introduces a Data mining algorithm that utilizes an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) to predict the residential Electric Energy usage. Additionally, it forecasts the fluctuations in energy consumption during various monsoons, as electricity usage varies greatly across seasons. These predictions can guide energy conservation efforts to address the demand for energy more effectively.
