Abstract

Cyber-Physical Systems are becoming a great tool to solve numerous problems of thing to thing and thing to human interaction, especially in the cases where the thing handles only part of the solution parameters, which is the case of the air cooling split systems devices, that are able to handle just the air room temperature and not the relative humidity, the renovation, the filtration and the sanitization of the air. Additionally, the control of the available adjustable parameters of an air cooling split system device through its remote control also can not cope with all the situations that can happen in an office room, such as variable thermal load, represented by the number of people and running equipment in the room, external weather conditions and people movement and personal preferences, for instance. This article presents the initial implementation of a Proof of Concept of Cyber-Physical System Project carried out at Renato Archer Information Technology Center, that aims to improve comfort, health and safety for people in multiple office rooms equipped with air cooling split systems devices, taking into account energy efficiency constraints and innovatives man machine interaction. It is shown in this work the concepts, the hardware and the software frameworks used in the project, and some results, as well.
