Abstract

A new Cu(II) coordination framework {[Cu(4-abpt)(μ3-SO42-)(H2O)]·3H2O}∞ (1) based on the Cu–SO42- inorganic layer and the bent dipyridyl ligand was obtained under solvothermal conditions (4-abpt = 4-amino-3,5-bis(4-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazole). The compound displays a three-dimensional (3D) “pillar-layer” framework, which can be simplified into a 3,5-connected gra topology. Furthermore, the magnetic properties of 1 have been investigated. As a result, compound 1 displays a weak antiferromagnetic interaction among the Cu(II) centers.
