Abstract
A low noise receiver for 350 GHz is described, using a Schottky diode mixer and FET amplifier operating at 20 K. Local oscillator power is provided by a frequency tripler., The best receiver temperature is 1050 K at 348 GHz. The same mixer design has been sucessfully scaled for room temperature operation at 530 GHz.
