Abstract
Kirstie Allen discusses children's dental care and the importance of an integrated and collaborative approach. Aim To discuss the relationship between dental health, social determinants of health and life outcomes for children and their families. Objectives To understand the variety of public services involved in promoting good dental health in children and families. To present the theory of the social determinants of health in the context of children's dental care and the impact this has across childhood and into adult life. To understand how these outcomes can be improved through early intervention. This article meets GDC development outcomes A, C and D.
