Abstract

In this article, Baudelaire’s art criticism will be investigated as a reflexing activity, as it was conceived by Walter Benjamin, in his O conceito de critica de arte no romantismo alemao, aiming at demonstrating how criticism and modernity relate from this procedure, and how Baudelaire rethinks art and criticism, starting from the present time, reinforcing that criticism does have the status of art. Within this surrounding, his making is built up in a reflexive way, as a theory whose greatest task is to interprete modernity about which he himself used to work out his criticism.
