Abstract

QoS (Quality of Service) guarantee is significant to implement object tracking application in WSN effectively. However, due to its unique characteristics, QoS guarantee of wireless sensor networks (WSN) is different from traditional networks. A hierarchical description for QoS parameters (node level, network level and application level) was presented in this paper, then the mapping relationship between QoS parameters of various layers was analyzed, and a mapping diagram was employed to describe mutual relationship qualitatively, which is helpful to further discover the quantitative relationship functions. Finally, a QoS guarantee implementation mechanism based middleware was also proposed for QoS support in object tracking WSN.
