Abstract

Background: Research is an essential component of the academic curriculum and its importance in health care must be appreciated Research experience is strongly linked to the future career achievements in undergraduates, yet a challenging task for the students & training for research skills and experience for research early in career has been associated with continued professional academic work and may help inform residents career decisions. Materials and Methods:Study Design: A Cross Sectional Study, Sample Size: 28 students of 2nd Year BAMS students were enrolled in study including too consented to participate.Period of study: April 2022Study Area: SJGAMC & H Koppal, Sampling technique: Non-probability convenience sampling techniqueData Collection Tool: Semi structured self-questionnaire method was developed for data collection Results: Results obtained statistically significant after orientation programme supported by Wilcoxon signed Rank Test Knowledge Scale <0.001 highly significant, Attitude Scale Scale<0.001 Highly significant, Practice scale <0.001 Highly significant. Conclusion: To encourage research activities Avishkara Central Research Laboratory has been conducted a orientation programme after orientation Undergraduates knowledge attitude and practice towards research is drastically increased, and it is widely accepted that scientific research orientation knowledge has contributed significantly to the practice of ayurveda and advancement of ayurvedic science.
