The implementation of GST led to a notable transformation in taxation for different sectors, such as Indian handicrafts, but its contribution to sustainability in this industry requires more investigation. This research aims to uncover and analyze the role of Goods and Services Tax (GST) in promoting sustainability within the Indian handicrafts sector. By utilizing secondary data sources, the study seeks to provide insights into the mechanisms through which GST contributes to sustainable growth and development in this culturally significant industry. Thus, the study reveals how GST helps promote sustainability in the Indian handicrafts sector through various dimensions, including simplifying tax procedures and fostering innovation, emphasizing the strategic significance of GST in supporting sustainable growth. Thus, the study further suggests more future research that could complement these findings with primary data collection to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the practical implications of GST on sustainability within the Indian handicrafts sector.
