Abstract

paper focuses on the determination of a Cramer Rao like bound for the estimation of phase parameters referring to temporal series in spaceborne interferometric RADAR. These data are affected by a multiplicative random noise due to the atmospheric propaga- tion, besides the usual additive noise. These factors combine non linearly, jeopardizing both the quality of the estimates and the assessment of the estimator's accuracy. The analysis proposed within this paper handles this issue by splitting the calculus of the Cramer Rao bound (CRB) into two parts, each of which involves the calculus of a CRB over a normal distribution. We show the implication of such result in the example of multipass Synthetic
