CARSTENSEN The Author began his professional career at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in 1968 after receiving his BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington. Currently, he is serving as Communication Systems Project‘ Engineer for the Electronics Applications Branch, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. As an author, he has written 10 papers dealing with various aspects of Shipboard Electrical and Electronic Systems Installation Design, two of which were previously published in the Naval Engineers Journal. In addition to serving as a Councilor for the ASNE Puget Sound Section and being a member of ASNE since 1971, he is also a member of IEEE.
