Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship among experiential avoidance, acceptance and psychological distress of diabetic patients and provide basis for reducing the experiential avoidance, promoting patients to accept the diabetes and decreasing their psychological distress. Methods A total of 218 patients with type 2 diabetes were investigated using the general information questionnaire, Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-2nd Edition, Ideas about Diabetes-Revised and Diabetes Distress Scale. The experiential avoidance was positively correlated with psychological distress of diabetes (r=0.414, P<0.01) . The acceptance was negatively correlated with psychological distress of diabetic patients (r=-0.355, P<0.01) .
