Abstract

Abstract : Team TRACLabs participated in the DARPA Robotics Challenge as a Track B team (developing software only). Keeping the human operator in the loop as much as possible, and using off-the-shelf components as a foundation, TRACLabs wrote software for robot control, network management, and the operator control station. In the Virtual Robotics Challenge, Team TRACLabs placed fourth of 22 teams, earning the use of an Atlas hydraulic humanoid for the rest of the competition. In the DRC Trials, Team TRACLabs placed sixth of 16 teams, earning additional funding through the Finals. In the DRC Finals, Team TRACLabs placed ninth of 23 teams. In this report, the competitions are described, along with details on Team TRACLabs methods and results.
