Abstract

In this letter, we aim to design set of discrete phase sequences and the corresponding space-time mismatched filter for a moving target to obtain good correlation properties, imposing Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise Ratio (SINR) and the discrete phase alphabet as the constraints. To find the optimized solution of the obtained multi-objective non-differentiable and highly non-convex optimization problem, we use the Coordinate Descent (CD) framework. Precisely, we iteratively optimize transmit waveform and design the received filter, ensuring the enhancement on the SINR, while reducing a weighted sum of PSL and ISL. Iteration is the price we pay for simplifying the original problem.
