Abstract

Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA) is a promising, emerging nanotechnology based on single electron effects in quantum dots and molecules. This paper presents the design, implementation and simulation of the elements and principal standard Configurable Logic Block (CLB) of Xilinx Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA). The presented Look-Up Table (LUT) implemented with novel structure which has been allowed as frequently as the Read/Write operation occurs, also acts as a pipeline. The presented decoders and multiplexers are implemented with five-input majority gates, which have been designed with the minimum number of majority gates and cells.
