Abstract

A porous system in which a fuel on the surface of pores reacts with a gaseous oxidizer is considered. A simplified model for wave processes in such a medium is developed. It is shown that because of strong friction, detonation waves propagate in a regime that is different from the Chapman-Jouguet regime. The conclusions are supported by model simulations and physical estimates.
