Abstract

This article proposes a translation of the gramscian concept of revolution-restoration into contemporary Brazilian reality. Our hypothesis consists of affirming the recent re-emergence of anti-democratic movements and consensuses in Brazil as a revolution-restoration, or more specifically, a “reactionary restoration” that brings at its core, among other elements, an association between militarism, ruralism and religious fundamentalism.
