Abstract

Summary An apparatus has been described for irradiation of liquids in a continuously flowing thin film without the use of quartz chambers. In a limited number of tests the antigenicity of rabies virus, typhoid organism suspension, and Shiga dysentery toxin inactivated by this apparatus compared favorably with that of the same materials inactivated with the Oppenheimer-Levinson apparatus.
