Abstract

Ubiquitous computing devices are transforming the way that learners study. But most of e-learning contents designed for PC are not suitable for handheld devices. In addition, some materials, irrelevant to learnerpsilas preferences or contextual environments, may affect the learning efficiency, and also increase the communication costs. In order to provide adaptive contents according to device capabilities and learnerpsilas experience, this paper presents a functional framework for adaptation contents. Last, the context-aware prototype system is experimentally evaluated on standard document learning materials: PowerPoint files. Through the framework, the learning contents are adaptive to learnerpsilas preference, also adaptive to contextual environment.
