Abstract

In this work, the turning of Glass Fiber Reinforced composites is carried out by considering the process parameters such as Spindle speed, depth of cut and feed rate. The cutting forces were considered as the output variables and were measured in three directions by Dynamometer. The Experiments were conducted as per Taguchi's L16 array and the objective functions for the cutting forces in three directions through Multiple Regression Analysis. Further the constrained Multi-Objective optimization was done through Genetic Algorithm and Particle swarm optimization Techniques. The results of both the optimization techniques were in good agreement with each other and also to that of a experimentally validated MRA values.
