Abstract

This paper presents a constrained H∞ control method for active suspension system with non-stationary random excitation. Firstly, the excitating characteristics of the unevenness road as the source is analyzed by using short-time Fourier transform, and then the non-stationary excitation signals information of both time-domain and frequency-domain is discussed. On this basis, an output feedback constrained H∞ controller is designed through considering the active force constraint and the time-frequency characteristics of non-stationary excitation. Simulation results shows that the H∞ control approach proposed in this paper is effective for the non-stationary excitation rejection of vehicle active suspension.
