A connectionless approach to integrated network management

Abstract

As computer networks become more complex and more heterogeneous loften involving systems from multiple vendorsr, the importance of integrated network management increases. This paper proposes a model to represent an integrated network management environment lINMEr combining the emerging Webhbased management standards with the provenhandhtried network management solutions promoted by the Internet Activities Board, and centred around the Simple Network Management Protocol. © 1998 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
