Abstract

Available supply capacity evaluation is one of the important indicators for planning, construction, safe and stable operation of distribution networks. Considering the coordination of the transmission and distribution networks, this paper refers to the research results from "one graph of power grid" to expand the calculation scope of the available capacity evaluation. The proposed method considers distribution transformers outside substations and the transmission topology, as well as applies the distribution real-time measurement and utilization data to fill the lack of distribution transformer data. Case results demonstrate that the proposed method is conducive to accurately estimating the load conditions under the current grid topology, providing data support for capacity expansion plan of transformers within substations and distribution feeders, and fully analyzing the power supply capacity of the distribution network to ensure the safe and stable operation of the whole power system.
