Abstract

This paper describes a computerized spark counter used for the determination of uranium in water. By using a solution D2000 to distribute uranium-containing residues from drops of water and a special circuit to prevent possible smaller spark pulse from following a normal one, a reproducibility of 3 per cent, a detection limit of 5×10-12 and an analysis speed of 1 sample per two or three minutes is reached.
