Abstract

The minicomputer has been incorporated in a system for neutron physics measurements. The computer cooperates with NIM modules and an Intertechnique memory block. The computer has been equipped with a time analyzer for the pulsed neutron-source method of measurement and a special direct memory-access channel for nuclear physics analog-to-digital converters and other purposes. The measuring system uses a general method, which is based on a compromise between hardware and software programs. An interactive operating system (LATOS) for a small configuration is designed and this is supplemented with a formula-to-assembler translator (FOPAL).
